Praise of the Cherubim

The Cherubic Hymn is the song of angels sung during the Divine Liturgy. It represents the angelic host descending into the temple to worship the Lord together with the people, the choir and the clergy.As we raise our voices to the heavens, calling on the heavenly hosts of Cherubim and Seraphim, worshipers soul is awakened behold in awe by a deep spiritual presence. This presence envelops all who can discern it in a kind of effusive, radiant light. This is the very light of the Lord’s angels moving among the faithful, worshiping God alongside them.Rightly, the Cherubic Hymn is considered as one of the most ethereal, mysterious choral pieces in the Liturgy, for it is the imitation of the host of angels singing before the altar which represents heavenly throne of God.

(Ezekiel 3:12)

† Blessed is the Glory of the Lord, from His place forever;
† Blessed is the Glory of the Lord, from His place forever;
† Blessed is the Glory of the Lord; from His place forever and ever.

Holy and glorious Trinity, have mercy upon us;
Holy and glorious Trinity, have mercy upon us;
Holy and glorious Trinity, have compassion and mercy upon us.

Holy art Thou, and glorious forever,
Holy art Thou, and glorious forever,
Holy art Thou, and blessed is Thy Name forever and ever.

Glory be to Thee, O Lord,
Glory be to Thee, O Lord,
Glory be to Thee, ever our hope, Barekmor.

Our Father who art in Heaven ...

Hail Mary, full of grace ..
